What on your mind?!?

A couple weeks ago, I went to a Wall Street Journal Opinion Conference. I believe this was the first one in Chicago. I read and watch the Opinion Journal every week day. I was very excited about this! Dorkily, I am huge fans of these journalists. I have watched them for years. I had to bring someone and settled on my nephew Billy. We had a great time and an even better time afterward at The Cocktail Lounge, The Avairy!!

Straight Up!!! It's time to "Deskercize!"

I am free from the confines of The Chair!

I decided to join the small but growing movement of stand up office desks. No more sitting all day for me. Stand up get moving and knock out those calls. I am a couple weeks into this and there is no turning back. I like and recommend it. What are you waiting for, just stand up already!

It is a Grand time ... And it feels like it is time for Spring

We finally took the family to the Grand Canyon. Pictures do not give it any justice. One of the coolest places ever. Fantastic!

Side note : be careful driving back on the 89A highway from Grand Canyon to Sedona AZ, it is one of the prettiest drives you will ever have. However, it is less pleasant when you are almost out of gas, just ran over a chain from a truck on the road and have a spouse who can't stand heights. Add in a 1 hour traffic jam and a potential flat tire ( with a gas tank dwindling ) and one's stress rises dramatically!

The next day, we took in our first spring traning game. I had gone to a few games when I lived in Ariziona in the late 80's. Wow ! The stadiums have upgraded since then!

Side note Part II: In my opinion the Colorado Rockies could have the worst mascot ever. My son took a picture with him above.

Kickin' it Old School!

For the first time , I was able to take the whole family to my old school, University of Arizona. My daughter took her first official school tour at the U of A! A lot of old memories came flooding back. Some good, some crazy. The campus is beautiful. Very warm there: 87 degrees and sunny in March. My daughter really liked the school. All five of us had a great time. I hope we make it back soon.

Holá Cuba!!

I just went to CUBA!! I had the best time last week. Unbelievable adventure! I was able to visit before the country turns into a touristy Disney World. I believe Cuba will look completely different in a year or so.

The country is changing so fast. It was like a trip to 1960's Cuba, old cars, historic Tropicana, Hemingway,no cars on the highway ( but plenty of people and oxen!), lots of keep the revolution strong billboards , and so much more. I have many pictures here are a few.
